Asia's inaugural conference for Small Tankers
"Managing Changes in MARPOL Annex II -
The Way Forward for Shipowners and Stakeholders in the Chemicals and Palm Oil Industries."
Held from 7th to 8th December 2006 at the Ritz Carlton Millennia, Singapore. Small Tankers Asia 2006 addresses issues of a sector that has traditionally played second fiddle to the larger tankers and thus greatly neglected. Small Tankers Asia aims to be Asia’s definitive Annual Small Tankers conference, bringing together the Palm Oil, Chemicals and Clean Petroleum Products (CPP) players.
Themed “Managing Changes to MARPOL Annex II - The Way Forward for Shipowners and Stakeholders in the Chemical and Palm Oil Industries”. This conference addresses the challenges that the revisions poses and aims to help businesses navigate these changes. Palm Oil and Chemical players are already seeing signs of an imminent supply squeeze as both parties begin to chase for the same tonnage from the start of 2007.
The inaugural event was a resounding success, drawing delegates from the various sectors of the Small Tankers industry.
